Dew Hoppers

Dew Hoppers

Hares were a recurrent feature of my childhood. I used to see them leaping and boxing, especially in the sprintime, in the fields around my home in Scotland. I’ve only ever seen one in Cornwall. I assume they prefer to hide in the hedgerows! The name Dew Hopper is an old English nickname which I feel sums up there early morning antics perfectly.

Patinated copper, brass, enamel and reclaimed mahogany.
